We appreciated the traditional design and the electricalal mixing possibility. But we now have had quite rather a lot of problem with this. The electrical mixer seems to combine the cream too fast--often producing an almost "foamy" outcome. The crank way produces higher outcomes, but the crank mixing mechanism makes a lot of noise and doesn't work easily...and it takes a looong time for the ice cream to freeze (over forty five minutes for only a small batch--our salt/ice combination tested 25 degrees). What an enormous disappointment. I bought one of these at a neighborhood store ultimate week and lower back it. It seems to be just right. The aluminum container is relatively heavy gauge. The motor is simply less than the task and the guide crank is negative. The motor stopped but the ice cream used to be still liquid.
